Phase I HUD 202/8 housing with 45 one bedroom and 25 studio units; total floor area = 57,000 sf.
Phase II "life lease" concept consists of 22 two bedroom and 48 one bedroom units; total floor area = 67,800 sf. Ten percent of all units are especially outfitted to cater to the physically handicapped. Last of three construction increments, the large Kosher Kitchen was completed in 1989. It provides meals for the 150+ residents of Chai House in the adjacent Dining Room designed to seat 200. The facility is also used by the food service contractor/caterer for meals to be served elsewhere. Sponsored by Chai House, Inc., a Jewish non-profit organization.
